Analysis:

-organic shapes such as the wolves and weeds

-primary colors such as blue in the background and yellow in the wolves fur

-positive space: wolves and plants

-contrast is lighter in the left bottom corner and moves it's way up to darkness in the right upper corner

-balance: asymmetrical (big wolf on one side and little cub on the other side)

-movement: eyes begin at upper right corner and are drawn down to the wolves

-emphasis: the mothers protection

Interpretation: In this painting it shows that the cub is nervous and the mother seems to be protecting it by placing its paw around it. The colors are kind of muted and sad so it feels like there is something wrong.

Judgement:

I feel drawn into this work and definitely have a sense of what is going on in this piece. The artist was very successful with expressing her content in this art piece. It is a beautiful piece of art work and is very interesting to all viewers.
