Analysis:

-many parallel, vertical, and horizontal lines

-geometric shapes 

-texture on the bike and people seem to feel smooth, but on the buildings seem to be rough

-value of colors are lightness

-positive space: two people, bike, buildings, and other objects

-negative space: the road

-balance with the buildings

-pattern with colors on the wheel, steps, and brick

-movement: all lines connect to the points on the wheel


Interpretation:

This painting portrays a sense of romance between this older couple, by adding in details such as the glass of wine and rose. Some colors stand out more than others.

Judgement:

My eyes were drawn to this art work and had a good understanding of what the piece was telling me in this painting. It expresses what the artist wanted to show his viewers. It is a wonderful piece and keeps all viewers very interested in this painting.
