CASE 2

The Assassination of JFK
On November 22, 1963 John F. Kennedy was assassinated at 12:30 pm. He was traveling with his wife, Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally's wife, Nellie. He was fatally shot by Lee Harvey Oswald while riding in the presidential motorcade. Most of the witnesses heard three shots. The first shot hit Connaly in the upper right back. The second shot hit president Kennedy as he was waving to the crowd, entering his upper back and exiting through the center of his neck. This same bullet also hit Connaly in the back just below his armpit. The third shot fatally struck Kennedy in the back of the head, catapulting bits of his skull all over the car. Lee Harvey Oswald was charged with the the killing of President Kennedy and a Dallas police officer. Before he could be tried he was killed by Jack Ruby on live television who was immediately arrested. His motive was never stated but it was thought that he had an unstable mental state and might have killed Kennedy for political reasons.

Lee Harvey
Oswald
Age (24)
After fatally shooting the president Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested for the murder of a police officer J.D. Tippit who was killed 45 minutes after the murder of Kennedy. He denied shooting anybody, saying that he was a pasty. He never went to trial because he was killed two days later by Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby while being transferred from the city jail to the county jail. It was determined that he acted alone when he shot the president from the Texas School Book Depository.
