They used many resources to create many possessions.  Some materials they used included bronze, gold, and silver.

They used these materials to create shields, spears, helmets, and jewlery.

Mesopotamians started metal workings for many reasons.  One reason is to have more reliable, effective tools.  Another is so the their tools would not fall apart as often.  Finally metal tools looked better and worked more efficiently.
