Child labor still exists in the world today. The reasons are mostly the same as back in the Industrial Era; money, lack of free education, and some laws can be maneuvered around easily.

Compare and Contrast Child Labor then to now

Child labor back in the Victorian Era was ruthless. Back then, there were no laws that prohibited the inhumane ways. Today, there are many laws that have to be followed. In the US, and most places in the world, there are minimum ages for employment, maximum hours of employment four youth, and minimum wage laws. There are major programs that are trying to rid of the existing child labor.
