When directed at an image, destructions is termed “Iconoclasm.” Historically iconoclasm was used as a tool of revolution but un these modern times it is associated with lone, angry or mentally disturbed individuals. (Graham Dixon: A History of British Arts).
Graham Dixon further say; “Iconophobia in the 20th century is rather impressive, the persistence of a dislike, so active that it requires the demolition of the object”.
