How Airborne interception radar was used after the war and up until today?

After the war Airborne interception radar continued to be upgraded with models MK. 17 - MK. 24. The MK. 24 also known as the foxhunter has a range of over forty miles for other aircrafts and over 100 miles for ships. With the upgrades the newer interception models send out microwave pulses once every two seconds. The MK. 24 is still used in the Royal Saudi Airforce, equipped in the Panavia Tornado F.3's.
