John Randall
EMI is a now a Music Recording company but in World War II the provided a large breakthrough in the development of Airborne Interception Radar. In 1940 they created a new system radar oscillating system that was first implemented into the MK. IV which then was mass produced and fit into Bristol Beaufighters.
John Randall was a British Physicist born in 1905, who a long with Henry Boot created the cavity Magnetron which implanted into the MK. VIII and is also a key component of Microwaves. The Cavity Magnetron that he introduced in 1940 allowed the MK. VIII to by much smaller and have much shorter wave lengths.
