Robert Watson-Watt, born April 13, 1892 made a huge contribution to Airborne interception radar and Radar in general. He played a large part in the creation of Chain home, Britains radar defense system. He lead many experiments s Bawdsey manor. He chose Edward Bowen to lead the Airborne Interception team.
Edward George "Taffy" Bowen was chosen to lead the first major experiment to create Airborne Interception Radar at Bawdsey Manor. He lead a small team to create the first three Airborne Interception radars up until the MK. III until his team was disbanded in 1940.
