19. Diagonal short layer
1. Section off and separate sections 5 & 6
2. Start on the client’s right side.
3. Apply a 1/2" diagonal subsection in front of the ear, parallel to the hairline.
4. Separate the remaining hair
5. Using the fine teeth of the comb hold the hair at 90°, T to the section
7. Cut to desired length
8. Using guide, work back until top of part reaches the middle part at the crown, then repeat steps from left side back
9. Drop sec 5 & 6, create safety section and cut front and side perimeters
10. Connection (separate front from back, and create 9 sections for connection. Use comb elevation and cut to guides)
11. Layer the front (create vertical subsection for guide, then take 1" horizontal subsections and bring to guide, cut)
*layering can also be done vertically, diagonally, or other shapes
