11. Thermal iron curl styling
Forming Croquignole Curls (for hair under 5” in length)
1. Rock the base (tong on top)
2. Holding the curl at the correct elevation, pull out to the hair end (tong and barrel close together) With the comb held at the scalp, roll down to complete the curl.
3. Click the tong open and closed to the right until curl falls out
Forming figure 6 curls (for hair 5"-13" in length)
1. Rock the base
2. Holding the curl at the correct elevation, move the iron away from the scalp. Use the comb to move the hair along the barrel toward the handle, and then rotate the iron. Place the comb under the curl, by the scalp, to protect the scalp.
3. Rotate until full length of hair is around barrel
4. Click tong and pull to the right to remove curl
Forming figure 8 curls (for hair 13" or longer)
1. Rock the base
2. Holding hair at correct elevation, move iron away from the scalp to about mid-shaft. Use the comb to move the hair along the barrel
toward your hand, near the handle, and then rotate the iron. Draw the strand to the opposite side of the curl and pull it over the top of the barrel (use your fingers or comb if necessary)
3. Rotate until all of strand is in iron
4. Click to the right to release curl
