Conclusions

Salt was actually used to dry out the body so that the body doesn't rot and is preserved.

In this experiement, we tested out the Ancient Egyptian process of using salt to preseve, or dry out the dead bodies, hands on.

This experiment shows us that the bodies will shrink, because the salt is drying the body out. And since everything is made up of 70% of water, this definitely increases the size.

The object/body (dried out by salt) also turns a darker shade. This is because us, humans, need to have a good blood flow in our veins, or else we loose our color. In order to have a good blood flow, you need water. Also, the person is dead, so how would the blood still flow?
