Guiding Question - Why did the Egyptians use salt in their mummification process? Scientifically, what was its purpose? What is going to happen to my mummy's (potato)?
Guessed Answer: I think that they used salt because salt preserves (therefore) dries the bodies. The salt also works with the atmosphere in Egypt, which is hot and dry. If Egypt was a cooler place, then the body would rot easily. I think that my mummy will change colors to a dark color, and it will become hard.
