The Nile also provided resources for building and a way of transportation.

Egyptians also used the mud from the riverbanks to make sundries bricks. These bricks would be used to build homes, walls, and other buildings. They would also mine and use the quarried limestones and sandstones from the hills along the side of the Nile. Most of the cities were built along the Nile River, the river was used as a major highway for ships to travel on throughout the Empire. Boats were constantly traveling up and down carrying people and goods. Because the Nile was used as a way of transportation, it allowed traveling for trading easier. Most likely making trading more frequent, since they were able to use the Nile as a faster way of getting there, other than having to travel by foot.
