The Tri-State Tornado

The most devastating tornado in U.S history, was the Tri-state tornado which occurred on March 18, 1925. The Tri-state tornado, which went through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, traveled a total of 219 miles and claimed the lives of 695 people. The newspaper above was the headline after the tornado struck, and there was originally an estimated 1000 fatalities.
