If tornadoes can rip apart infrastructure, then it can also uproot trees. This is basically the same thing as cutting down these trees, which can have bad effects on the environment. Along with this, tornadoes spread topsoil throughout the surrounding area which can cause soil poisoning, which can also kill many trees.
