Women in Abolition
-Women played a significantly large part in the abolition movement.
-Even though women could not directly take part in the movement, they persuaded men to take action against slavery.
-Some women, such as Hannah More and Mary Birkett, wrote fantastical literature about slavery.
-Lots of women wore anti-slavery cameos to show support for the abolition movement.
-Women also organized sugar boycotts to hurt the slave-powered sugar industry.
