The Women's Rights Movement
The Seneca Falls Convention was formed. A "Declaration of Sentiments" was composed. Nearly 300 women and men gathered at the Wesleyan Methodist Church for the convention. The participants agreed to all parts of the declaration unanimously except for the right for women to vote. The vote remained a controversial aim.
