Circuits
Definition- A complete, closed path through which electric charges flow.
Open circuits-
When the switch is open, the gap between the two pieces of conducting material prevents the electric charges from traveling through the circuit.
Closed circuit-
When the switch is closed, the two pieces of conducting material touch, which allows the electric charges to travel through the circuit.
The flow of electrons are what power the electricity. Electrons are negative so they are repelled by the negative part within the circuit and are attracted to the positive part. This keeps a constant flow throughout the circuit.
