John Calvin
Description




John Calvin was known to be the most influencial figure of the Reformation after Luther. He was mostly influential through his writings and preaches. Calvin's main teaching was predestination. Predestination was the idea that God knew who would be saved even before they were born. Even if people tried changing thier actions, nothing would Change god's mind. Clavin also taught that it was better to live a good life than a bad one, and everyone should obey God's laws. He was made religious and political leader of Switzerland in 1541, his followers were called Calvinists. They passed laws to make people live by Clavin's teachings.
