My cousin in upper Paris is a part of the National Assembly. I'm a firm believer that the monarchy should not rule this nation. But the Aristocracy wants power just as much as the next guy. The rich men can't stand when the less fortunate have a say in anything. Didn't no one want the Third Estates to tell someone how to live. They all tried too hard at first to limit the power of The Third only to team up with them in the end because they got it. Maybe this will be a lesson; give the lower classes the numbers and we don't need wealth. I feel that we will have more unity in our country now that we have this unified power. It has been a long time since I have had pride in this country. Seems like the last few kings couldn't get over not having it their way. Try to make all people pay land taxes.. nope the king doesn't like that. Seems like they don't care if we're in debt because they still live high and mighty. Hopefully my children won't have to experience that kind of control when they grow older with the kingdom and are able to understand. Besides, this country is on the right track with this new government.
