World War II occurred just two decades after World War I and was the biggest and most deadly war in history. This war involved more than 30 different countries and resulted in more than 50 million military and civilian deaths. World War II was sparked by Hitlers invasion of Poland, which happened in 1939. All together the war lasted 6 years and is probably the most recognized war that has ever occurred in the world.
