TRANSMEDIA

For a long time, we tried to define what was happening with our writing process in class. What we found was that the product did not fit within a box of expectations. The closest definition falls in transmedia storytelling, the process by which a single storyline or narrative is dispersed across multiple media to create an overarching entertainment experience.

This idea does not draw lines between genres, but rather connects the dots. This type of approach allows the reader to consume content in various ways, all of which contribute to a central narrative.
