------Elie's Recovery After the Holocaust------
-Elie married a woman named Marion in a synagogue on April 2nd in the Old City of Jerusalem while being journalist. (Bayer 83)
-Elie continued to follow his love of literature and writing and became a professor at Boston University after several jobs exploring the world as a journalist. (86)
-Elie and his wife created Foundation for Humanity, which is a mission to combat indifference, intolerance, and injustice all over the world. (Moore 86)
-On October 14, 1986, Elie received a call telling him, he was voted for the Nobel Peace Prize, the greatest humanitarian award.
-Elie accepted this award on December 9, 1986. (108,109) He gave the majority of the money received to the Foundation For Humanity.(Bayer 94) Elie also was offered as Chairman of the Holocaust Museum.(90) He made the opening speech for the memorial on April 19th, 1993. Elie Wiesel is a hero from the Holocaust and one who is never to forget. Just as he said, “To forget is to kill again.”
