Economy

Panama's natural resources are copper, mahogany, forests, shrimp, and hydropower, a powerful energy that generates electricity from water. There is a small amount of industry that works on construction, cement, and sugar milling. Job positions are mostly filled by unskilled laborers. A few jobs involve working on the Panama Canal, which will expand until 2015. The canal is an essential part in trade. Panama handles at least 4 percent of all world trade. The U.S. , Sweden, and Japan are few of the many countries that Panama trades with.

Panama es parte de una economia e libre mercado y es conocido por sus habilidades de ingenieria y tecnologia.
