Family

Panamanian families are made up of two parents and a lot of kids(usually about four). Grandparents tend to live with their son's or daughter's family to teach their grandkids about the Panamanian culture.
Boys and girls were treated differently from each other. Boys were allowed a lot of freedom while girls were ALWAYS supervised, maintained less freedom, and had their companions screened.
Most Panamanian families are consisted of a consensual marriage (meaning more than one wife).

The original mistress would be considered a well known wife while the other(s) are just...tarts.
As many Spanish traditions call the parents would celebrate the birth of a child by baptism. Godparents are the people chosen to perform the role. Preferred godparents would be high on the social scale, wealthy, and powerful. But a majority of parents chose people who are close to family, loyal, and respectful.
