Caroline felt the women were particularly vulnerable. They had been promised a new life in Australia, full of opportunity, but found themselves in the pits of despair, far away from anything they had ever known. Caroline took it upon herself to welcome these women into her home. Here she provided them with, not only food and shelter, but training and assistance with finding employment.
