She set up employment centres in country towns to assist migrants in finding a job.
She organised work contracts to ensure all workers were treated fairly.
During the gold rush period when masses of people from around Australia and the world were flocking to towns like Ballarat and Bendigo , she established safe, affordable and comfortable accommodation for the families of diggers.
Over the next 30 years Caroline continued to work for the good of others across New South Wales and Victoria.
