The traditions, culture and even the personality of the people in this region varies depending on their location. Their traditions, meals, and even their personality is highly determined by the climate and environment.
For example, the people found in the the central part of the eastern mountain range (mid-level plateau) are stereotyped as excellent hostesses, creative and talkative people. In contrast, people from Boyacá, found in the northern part of the eastern mountain range (low elevated valley), are seen as hardworking, and warm people.
Throughout its history, the country’s ethnically diverse population has enriched Colombia with a wide range of cultural expressions in music, art and literature.
