The Cordillera Central (Central mountain range)has a length of more than 1,000 km. It runs from the Nudo de Almaguer (Colombian Massif), found in southern central Colombia, to the San Lucas mountain range in BolĂvar, Northern Colombia. The Cordillera Central is the highest cordillera in the country with peaks over 5700 m high. Its highest peaks include: the Nevado del Huila, at 5,750 m high, the Nevado del Ruiz, at 5,321 m high, and the Nevado del Tolima, at 5,216 m high.
