The Cordillera Central (Central mountain range)has a length of more than 1,000 km. It runs from the Nudo de Almaguer (Colombian Massif), found in southern central Colombia, to the San Lucas mountain range in BolĂ­var, Northern Colombia. The Cordillera Central is the highest cordillera in the country with peaks over 5700 m high. Its highest peaks include: the Nevado del Huila, at 5,750 m high, the Nevado del Ruiz, at 5,321 m high, and the Nevado del Tolima, at 5,216 m high.
