Renewable and Nonrenewable Energy

Renewable energy is generally defined as energy that comes from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat.

The original organic material, with the aid of heat and pressure, becomes a fuel such as oil or gas. Fossil fuels (such as coal, petroleum, and natural gas), and certain aquifers are all non-renewable resources.

Fossil fuels qualify as non-renewable energy.

Renewable energy and non renewable energy differ because renewable energy can be renewed and doesn't run out. Non renewable energy on the other hand does run out.
