Miss Temple is Jane's teacher at Lowood who is kind to her students. She also becomes Jane's female role model. At school, Miss temple would stand up for her students, or try to understand their situation when they were in trouble. When Mr. Brocklehurst called Jane a liar, Miss Temple asked Mr. Lloyd to get background information on Jane's life at Gateshead. Once she found out that Jane was telling the truth, she told the whole school about Jane's innocence. Miss Temple influenced Jane by her positive actions and in a way inspired Jane to become a teacher just like her.
