Students successfully completing the course will be familiar with an array of relevant systems, including digital archiving systems, digital repositories, and integrated online library systems, and they leave the course in possession of the knowledge and skills sufficient to build a collection on each system and/or administer the system. Upon completion of the course students will also possess the knowledge and experience necessary to form sound professional judgments about the merits of specific systems, address questions about the “goodness of fit,” and, where it is possible, to amend workflows in order to meet local conditions and requirements.
