Prevention Methods
Because osteoporosis is difficult to reverse prevention is key to preventing painful and disfiguring fractures.
~ A diet high in calcium is the foundation in prevention and treatment in osteoporosis. Vitamin D should also be taken.
~ Alcohol- drinking an average of three or more alcoholic beverages per day may also increase bone loss and bone fracture. Drinking in moderation or even none can prevent osteoporosis.
