Describe: Afremov's painting is a very colorful portraying of a lake with mountains in the background. There is a sunset reflecting on the lake.

Analyze: The lines in this oil painting are implied and rough. The colors are all surreal in a way because everything is painted in various shades of green, orange, pink and blue. The mountains look rushed and lumpy instead of being organic shaped. The boat is also very implied.

Interpret: This painting is very implied and rough but Afremov's "Gifts of Nature" is very well done. He is probably depicting a favorite fishing spot or camping site. The horizontal lines unify the painting and give it a very calm, quiet mood with vibrant colors and a soothing scene.
