Francis Xavier was a Roman Catholic missionary. He was the Jesuit priest and he traveled throughout Asia in the mid-1500s. Along his trip, he brought Catholicism to parts of India and Japan. As a result of that, some people in India and Japan became Catholics. Catholic missionaries baptize millions of people all around the world just like they do today.
