Reformation
Reformation comes from the root word reform which means to improve by alteration. During the late Renaissance, some people began to make compliants about problems, wanted to focus on religion and called on the church to erase corruption. This was soon led to a reform movement of Western Christianity called the Reformation. The people's complaints began to make judgements of the preists, bishops, popes, and the church practices. Few reformers began to call upon the church and thought the pope and preists were not religious anymore. Other reformers thought that the pope was too involved in politics, ignoring his religous duties.
