1. Inflammation of the injured area causes capillaries to dilate. This allows white blood cells to enter the infected area.
2. The blood clot is replaced by granulation tissue. This restores blood flow. The Scab on the skin eventually falls off
3. Regeneration and fibrosis effect permanent repair. Epithelium thickens and looks like adjacent skin. A tiny scar may appear sometimes.
