Major leaders in Abolition and Emancipation Reform
William Lloyd Garrison was known as the most radical white abolitionist. He delivered his message to eliminate emancipation through his paper, "The Liberator". In 1832 he founded the New England Anti-Slavery Society and a year later found the National American Anti Slavery Society. David Walker was a free black man that advised blacks to fight for their freedom rather than to wait around for slaveowners to give them it.
