Developing Religious Beliefs

The religion of the indus people remains unknown, but archeologists have speculated what it was about with help from clues and artifacts.

⚫️ Many think that the religion of the people of the indus were polytheistic.
⚫️ A mother goddess (a source of creation) seems to have been widely honored.
⚫️Indus People also may have viewed certain animals as sacred such as bulls, buffalo, and cattle.
⚪️ Some scholars think these practices influenced later indian religious.
⚪️ They may have followed pre-aryan or pre-Vedic beliefs.
⚪️ The seals archeologists have found also have forms of religious writing and pictures that resemble god-like figures.
⚪️ An altar was also found in one of the dig sites.
