The Souls of Black Folk

U.S. in World War 1

Was a story written and published by W.E.B. Du Bois, it was many essays (like a story) about the life of African American. It shares all the struggles in their lives, from Freedmen's Bureau to Civil Rights. One of the well known lines of the story, is "The problem of the Twentieth Century is the problem of the color-line." Various minds may understand this in different ways. My mind speaks, as if these words mean everywhere, everyone, everything you go, talk to, or touch may be taken into consideration by others, it is highly impossible to not be labeled in your first few seconds of presences.

NAACP Founded

After a year (now 1909) almost everyman was still shocked by a humongous riot. The riot, in Illinois, injured and killed very many black men. That was not the only thing harmed, homes and property were damaged. a social worker persuaded Walling called an conference with blacks and whites.

The Birth of a Nation

Was a screening that Mr. President, Woodrow Wilson, viewed in the White House. The film was about the events occurring after Civil War, the K.K.K. was being praised in the view and it made the black men vicious. It would "prove" that the black man would overrule and would force activity to white women.

As the War in Germany began, America was preparing for battle. The Blackman would stand next to white to win a battle for U.S.A. The men whom joined knew they would not be very respected. The camps that they were later sent to were near Houston, Texas. There had been very many African americans in Houston, so the policeman were vulgar to the pedestrians.
