This event took place during 1944, congress finally had one more amendment to pass, 13th, 14th, & 15th. Slavery had ended already yet the Southern states still wanted to torture innocent colored people. One of the biggest goals for the black men were to vote for the right person, for no political control.
In 1946 a black woman in Virginia, had the guts to sit in a section on the bus that no black people would usually sit. As the people shouted at her to sit in the back, she finally responded, that it was illegal in the state to segregate people in public areas. She was then finned and put into cuffs. A man in the NAACP finally picked up the case and told them that they foreboded that action.
As the very well known baseball player Jackie made history in 1947 for being the first black man to play on a major league, he had struggles between his relationship with his teammates and other teams that wouldn't play on the same field with a colored man.
