Title: Table, Napkin, and Fruit (Un coin de table)
Date:1895-1900
Medium: Oil on Canvas

Description: plates of fruit on a table. Appears that the plate has fallen over. Background looks like a window.
Analysis: bright colors are used in this piece. Texture in the wall is very noticeable. Emphasis is on the fruit with the stripes.
Interpretation: I believe this picture represents someone who may have been in a hurry preparing something. The plate of fruit is tipped over and scattered everywhere. The blanket on the bottom of the fruit is also messy, and not properly placed.
Judgement: i believe this piece is not as well done as it could have been. The window does not necessarily appear to be a window. However, the illusion that the plate is tipped over was very well don't.
