Description: This is an oil painting of cakes. Colors are light and stand out from the neutral background.
Analysis: The main geometric shape shown is the circle. The cakes and stands a both circles. The designs on the cake display emotion. The cakes cast a shadow on the floor showing where the light is coming from. The pattern is in the rows of cakes. One is a row of 4, then a row of 5, and the last a row of 4.
Interpretation: I believe this piece was created for a party or some sort of celebration. The light colors and curvy and swirled lines display a happy emotion.
Judgement : I believe the cakes clearly get the artists point across of a celebration. I feel drawn to the cakes specifically in this work because there is much emphasis on them.
