NUTRITION FACTS

It's pretty obvious that Oreos aren't very healthy. They have a serving size of just two cookies. Although, it seems the creme makes it so not-nutritious. The average Oreo contains ~41.6 calories. If you remove the creme and just eat the chocolate, you save 20 calories. The creme is the best part, though, so do not do that.

When Oreos were first made, pig lard was a main ingredient. This eventually led to come concerns, so in the mid 1990s they removed the pig lard and replaced it with partially hydrogenated vegetable oil. They then became Kosher in 1998.
