THE ORIGINAL OREO

The original Oreo flavor was the chocolate vanilla creme, with lemon coming soon after. The original cookie-to-cream ratio was 71%-29%. The Oreo was first called "Oreo Biscuit" then "Oreo Sandwich" in 1921, then changed again to "Oreo Creme Sandwich" in 1948, then again to "Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookie" in 1974. Now most people just call it an Oreo Cookie. Oreos were first sold by weight at 30 cents per pound. The first design was less detailed as the current.
