Patterns for Layering the Top of the Head
Different sectioning patterns depend on:
• where the client wears their part
• where you want to maximize/minimize weight
• the clients preferences

Patterns are as followed:
1. Horizontal: used when no part is desired, medium weight in left and right parietal areas; minimal weight in center of the head. Creates a square shape (square layers)
2. Vertical: used when no part is desired and hair is worn forward, medium weight is right and left parietal areas; follows head shape.
3. Diagonal: used when there is a side part, maximum weight above left parietal area; minimal above right.
4. Concave: part can be left, center, or right, maximum weight in both left and right parietal areas; minimal at the center or side part.
5. Convex: part can be left, center, or right, minimal weight in left and right parietal areas; minimal at center or side part.
