1790-The Great Awakening

A renewal of beliefs, called the "great Awakening" flew over the United States in 1790, renewing and building spiritual foundations, sparking reforms throughout the country.

The great awakening abolished the belief that god predetermined one's fait. Instead, it was believed that one was to be responiable for seeking saclation, as opposed to being given salvation.

Religious ideas revolved around Individualism and Responsibility.
