INDUS CIVILIZATION
• The Indus Civilization started around 2600 B.C.
• Archaeologists have discovered that
this civilization consists of many cities,
but the major cities are Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa
• The many accomplished of these
two cities include:
- street organizations
- houses made of bricks
- plumbing systems with sewers
under the streets
- uniform system of weights and measures
- using cotton for clothing
- farmers grew wheat, barley, melons, and dates
• Scientists still do not know why the empire declined but they think Aryan tribes conquered Indus Valley
