Japanese Funeral:
A Japanese funeral consists of 5 major parts. The absolute first thing that is done after the person does, however, is the deceased has their lips moistened with water. This is known as "Water of the Last Moment" (Matsuso-no-Mizu). Soon after the this ceremony, the official funeral can begin. The five parts consist of the Wake, Funeral, Cremation, Burial/memorial service, and finally the Mourning process.
